Omniverse – Out Now!

Just released for New Year’s Day, Omniverse is part two of my Verses Live Trilogy series. Culled entirely from live performances, Omniverse extends the spatial journey that was started in Multiverse, which brings together elements of many genres including electronic, ambient, and world musics.

Recorded from 2009 to 2012 on my former net radio program, “Atmosphera” on electro-music.com and mixed in September of 2012.

Video series of drones performed on the Marsynth Morris Box , an instrument made for me by Damon Mar specifically simple for making drones, noises, and sound effects. The Morris Box has 2 square-wave oscillators, a low-pass filter, and a LFO. This is the first in the series.

Almost a year in the making, Connecting Trains by Disturbed Earth, Shane Morris, and Kirill Platonkin is out now on Buddhist on Fire net label. From near opposite corners of the globe, U.S., Russia, and Australia, Connecting Trains is truly music from around the world and back again. Dark ambient, experimental, and soundscape lovers will want to pick this up.

There are several firsts on this album. This is my first release with Disturbed Earth or Kirill Platonkin, though I have another collaboration with Disturbed Earth coming out later this year. This album is my first release playing some electric guitar, which was processed with N.I.’s Guitar Lab. Also featured on this album is the Marsynth Morris Box, which I used on each track along with other synths and percussions. This release is also the very first Creative commons release for Disturbed Earth.
